The 4th Annual On the Cusp Writer’s Conference Announces Its Lineup of Outstanding Workshop, Speakers and Guests!
(Dallas, TX/July 10, 2007) – Since the close of the November 2006 On the Cusp Writer’s Conference (OTC), writers, authors, students, and publishing professionals have been eagerly awaiting notification of the 2007 conference. The Writer’s Block, Inc., sponsor of the annual writer’s conference, is happy to announce that information is now available.
According to Michelle Chester, conference chairperson, “This year we decided to return to the basics and focus on the craft of writing as well as introduce writers to various forms of writing.” Attendees will enjoy workshops on plot, dialogue, humor, research and more. Additionally, writers will have a chance to expand their writing portfolio and learn about stage play, nonfiction and poetry writing. Returning for the second year is the highly popular “one-page review,” which allows attendees to have the first page of their manuscript critiqued by professional agents and editors. Pitch sessions will also be available for writers who are ready to present their works to publishing professionals.
In addition Chester states, “We also wanted to give attendees an ‘away feel’ by hosting the conference at the Cooper Center. Everyone will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and luxurious surroundings, which offers private balconies or tucked-away nooks from which views of spacious greens and rolling slopes can be enjoyed. It’s a great environment for promoting superb writing.”
